Leslin Welcomes New Board and Advisory Board Members
The Leslin Healthcare Leadership Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of six new leaders to its Board of Directors and Advisory Board.
Board Chairperson
Marcia Peters, JD, L.H.D (Hon.) has been appointed Chairperson of the Leslin Board of Directors. A C-suite executive with more than 20 years of experience in public healthcare, Ms. Peters most recently served as Chief Operations Officer of NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where she managed a $1.5 billion annual budget and served concurrently as System Chief Accreditation Officer for the entire NYC H+H enterprise. She holds a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and serves as Adjunct Faculty at New York University.
New Board Members
Alfredo Jones, MPH is Chief Operating Officer of NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. He holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and an MPH in Community Health Education from Hunter College, Graduate School of Urban Public Health.
Teresa Song, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and clinical instructor at Mount Sinai Hospital's Dermatology residency. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the CUNY School of Medicine at City College, where she completed an accelerated BS/MD program in partnership with SUNY Downstate Medical College.
Jian Yang, MD serves as Dean of New York College of Health Professions. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and completed postgraduate fellowship training in Genitourinary Medicine at The Smith Institute for Urology, Northwell Health.
New Advisory Board Members
Jaclyn Mucaria, MPA, FACHE is the founder of JM Advisory Services, LLC. She served as President of NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital from 2015 to 2024, overseeing a $1.2 billion budget and leading the campus to a CMS 5-Star Quality rating. She holds a Master of Public Administration in Health Care Administration from New York University and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Maria V. Espinal, MPH, AMA-CPM is a healthcare executive with expertise in operational excellence, grants strategy, and population health. She has held leadership roles at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and NYU School of Medicine and is a 2024 Dalio Health Justice and Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health REACH Fellow.
