Reflecting on a Year of Progress and Impact

As 2024 comes to a close, I’m excited to share the strides we’ve made at Leslin in bridging healthcare management development, industry, and the humanities. Together, we’re building a new paradigm for preparing leaders who are skilled and deeply connected to the human side of healthcare. Here are some highlights from this inspiring year:

Key Achievements in 2024

Career Development Workshops: We hosted engaging workshops to hear from career-changers and professionals about their visions for healthcare leadership. These sessions focused on building career futures that embrace empathy, ethics, and human-centered care.
Emerging Leaders Program: We developed an innovative internship template offering real-world skills and leadership connections. Its unique, personalized design offers cross-sector flexibility.
Expanding Research Networks: We connected with passionate individuals and organizations to integrate the humanities into healthcare leadership. Community Service - Humanities and Health: Partnering with TPFF, a local non-profit, we supported its mission of bridging the arts and wellness for emerging artists through programs, workshops, and mentoring of community residents.
Awareness Campaigns: Our LinkedIn campaigns raised awareness of our mission, inviting broader collaboration on integrating humanities into healthcare (http://linkedin.com/in/linda-c-lombardi-88481743).

Professional Development Highlights

In support of Leslin’s core commitment to life-long learning, I also share my personal progress in the hope of making more valuable contributions: I recertified as a Planetree International Fellow, Person-Centered Care, joined the Academy of Management, completed a specialization in Inspired Leadership, and studied Generative AI for educators and leaders. It seems I share Leonardo DaVinci’s perspective, “Learning never exhausts the mind.”
