Linda C. Lombardi, Ph.D., is a seasoned healthcare executive and educator whose focus on healthcare delivery transformation and leadership development has transformed the care and service experience, consistently contributing to sustained operational improvements and shaping the future of work. Throughout her career, she has focused on self, staff, and organizational improvement as a way to individually and collectively achieve goals, both professional and personal. Her experience spans strategy and operations.

Dr. Lombardi was selected by Becker’s, a national healthcare industry publication, as 30 CXOs (Chief Experience Officers) to Know in 2018 and 2020. She has presented at international conferences such as the Institute for Patient and Family Care (IPFCC) and offered webinars for America’s Essentials Hospitals. With extensive experience in business management, program planning and partnership development, she has established healthcare sector-academic relationships, developed and supervised internship programs, served on advisory and community boards and committees that focus on building the workforce of the future.

Her decades-long teaching and research experience includes teaching healthcare management at the undergraduate level at New York University, the graduate level at St. Joseph’s University, and a broad range of courses in the workplace. She has served as a preceptor, internship supervisor, senior project advisor, and collaborated with academic institutions to offer career planning, development, and experience to students, career-changers, veterans, and international visiting students. She received the Teaching Excellence Award by New York University SCPS and is a Adjunct Professor, NYU, School of Professional Studies, Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies. For the past 4 years, she has also been teaching in the NYU High School Academy, offering courses in exploring careers in medicine for high school students.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Lombardi is a Gold Certified Lean Practitioner, Certified Coach, Master Trainer in TeamStepps, and Certified in DISC Behavioral Assessment. She is an Associate Member of the American Psychological Association, Member of, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and a Fellow in Planetree International, Person-Centered Care. Most recently, she completed a Specialization in Generative AI Leadership and Strategy and received a certificate in Digital Health.

In 2019, she established Leslin | The Leslin Healthcare Leadership Foundation with the mission to develop future leaders through co-design and collective intelligence drawn from healthcare and other sectors. Her interest and background in the humanities has driven her work and interest in designing a new approach for preparing and developing healthcare leaders. Leslin’s work leverages education, experience and innovation and offers advisory services, research, and curriculum development.

She holds a B.A. degree from Herbert H. Lehman College, an M.A from Columbia University, an M.A. from the New School for Social Research in Psychology, an M. Phil. and Ph.D. from The City University of New York Graduate School and University Center. Dr. Lombardi is a Fellow of The New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM). In 2021, she received an L.H.D. Honoris Doctorate from the New York College of Health Professions.
